Membership Details :

The membership of APBA consists of ‘Full Paid members’, Associate members, and ‘Honorary members’.

The application for ‘Full Paid membership’ / Associate membership shall be made online in a separate prescribed form placed here. The paid membership shall be accompanied by the requisite fee. Admission may be refused if there is any doubt about the integrity of the applicant.

Full Paid membership: A ‘full Paid member’ is defined as any doctor, nurse, or therapist who is either practicing burn management or has practiced in the past. An applicant shall be eligible to apply for membership as a Full Member if he or she maintains a valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine/ nursing/rehabilitation in his/her country of practice.

The billing cycle shall start on 1st January each year, and those applying for Full Paid membership after 1st October of any year shall enjoy the privileges of membership starting immediately; however, their billing cycle shall start on 1st January of the following year.

Fee Structure
Countries to be graded HIC / Upper Middle or LMIC/LIC according to the ISBI structure.

HIC / Upper Middle – Other categories US $75
LMIC / LIC – Physicians US $70
LMIC / LIC – Other categories US $50

Privileges of membership-

  • 1. Minimum $50 discount on congress registration rates.
  • 2. Free registration for the quarterly online seminars.
  • 3. Junior physicians, nurses, students, OTs/PTs can request to be enrolled in the Mentor-Mentee program of APBA.
  • 4. Senior physicians, nurses, OTs/PTs may offer themselves as Mentors.
  • 5. Full paid members can bid for an APBC on behalf of their National Society of Burns.
  • 6. They are also entitle to be elected/nominated to Executive Board of APBA.

Associate membership (previously titled Full membership): An ‘Associate member’ is defined as any person, physician, surgeon, nurse, therapist, scientist, health care worker, or corporate individual who is associated with burns and is interested in being a part of the APBA. Associate members may attend the online webinars by paying the requisite fee ( currently US $ 25 per webinar)

Honorary membership: An “Honorary member’ is defined as an individual, from any part of the world, who has been identified by the Executive committee of APBA as a person of excellence in the specialty of burn management. Honorary members may be proposed by any Executive member ( past or current), for their distinguished contribution to APBA, and they shall be admitted at a Congress of APBA in person, upon the recommendation of the Executive committee.

Before submitting the offline registration form, please make the payment corresponding to your membership type to the provided account number. Once the payment has been completed, kindly submit the form along with the payment receipt.
